reFRESH Waterlines

Eucalyptus Court & Jefferson Street Construction Starts in September

Construction on Eucalyptus Court is expected to begin after Labor Day (9/4)! Jefferson Street construction is expected to begin shortly thereafter.   Improvements on these streets will include new water main and new storm drain.  Once the installation of the water main and storm drain is complete and all service connections are made, crews will regrade and pave the roadway and restore the right-of-way (ROW).  Construction on each street is expected to be completed in approximately four months.  Click here for more information on construction.

Waterlines Replacement on Estero Boulevard

Phase 2 – from Lovers Lane to Madera Road

The Fort Myers Beach Waterline Replacement Program progresses south on Estero Boulevard from Lovers Lane to Madera Road.  On August 9, 2016, the Town held a preconstruction public information meeting to present construction plans and provide information about the upcoming work.  Click here to view the presentation.

In October 2016, crews began installing 10 and 16-inch water mains on the beach side of Estero Boulevard from:

  1. Gulfview Avenue to Madera Road
  2. Lovers Lane to Junkanoo/Donora Boulevard
  3. Junkanoo/Donora Boulevard to Gulfview Avenue

One-lane flagging is expected in some areas along Estero Boulevard while Waterline crews install new water mains (subject to change).  Flaggers will alternate traffic directions frequently; however, motorists should expect delays.

Once the water mains are installed and tested, they will be put in service and individual connections will be made to residences and businesses.
