The roadway and drainage system in the third segment of the project, between Strandview Avenue (near Publix) and Lanark Avenue, changed due to the varying widths of the right-of-way. Renderings and diagrams are shown below for the three different sections within this segment. In the North Section, the roadway and drainage design remained the same from Segment 2 and then narrowed down in the Middle Section to a two-lane roadway with no turn lane (due to the 50’ right-of-way) between Williams Drive/Glenview Manor Drive to Lazy Way. The south end of this segment then widens to a 100-foot right-of-way between Lazy Way to Lanark Avenue. The center turn lane returns along with small green spaces in areas on each side of the boulevard.

Construction for the sanitary sewer force main installation within Segment 3 began in September 2016. In September 2017, Waterlines crews began installing water mains on the gulf and bay sides of Estero Boulevard within this segment. Roadway improvements from Strandview Avenue to Lanark Avenue began in February 2019 with roadway milling and storm drain box installations at side streets being the first construction activities. Above are renderings of the new Estero Boulevard from Strandview Avenue to Lanark Avenue along with diagrams of the new road and sidewalk layouts.
